Janet Glime Receives the Volunteer Leadership Award
|
The Volunteer Center of Brown County hosted a Spring 2019 breakfast awards event that was crowded with enthusiastic and excited nominees and guests. Janet Glime was one of these. She was one of ten nominated for the Constellation Volunteer Leadership Award. And she won! No surprise to the Board members who also attended the breakfast, as they listened to the presenter list all that she does in a year’s time...training tutors, enrolling students, ordering materials, overseeing lessons, attending state and local meetings. The Volunteer Center has been supporting non-profits for over 45 years, and this year over 1,200 volunteers were recognized. This year’s award recipients will each receive $1,000 to gift to the non-profit organization of their choice, and runners-up receive $500. There were eight award categories, and an independent panel of judges had the challenging task of selecting recipients. Tom Zalaski and Erin Davisson of WFRV-TV served as MC’s |
